Bryon has almost 30 years of experience as engineer and marketer in Silicon Valley, having worked for MMI, AMD, Cypress, Altera, Actel, Teja Technologies, and Vector Fabrics. 

He has focused on PLDs/FPGAs, EDA, embedded systems, multicore processing, networking protocols, and software analysis. His technical interests are broad, and he finds particular satisfaction in drawing useful parallels between seemingly unrelated fields.

He has kept his technical skills high enough to facilitate cogent conversations with both users and builders. He asks stupid questions because, 90% of the time, they aren't stupid. He has a BSEE from UC Berkeley and an MSEE from Santa Clara University. Away from work, Bryon enjoys music, photography, travel, cooking, hiking, and languages.

Cheryl Coupé is a writer and communications strategist with an extensive background across technologies, industries, and audiences. She has held senior positions in materials / purchasing, print / web development, marketing communications, and public / investor relations on both the corporate side (Intel, Applied Microsystems, RadiSys) and agency side (MKTX and Waggener Edstrom). She has been editor-in-chief for the Software Association of Oregon, the Association for Corporate Growth (Oregon Chapter), and the Oregon Bioscience Association, and is currently editor-in-chief for Extension Media's embedded publications: EE Catalog and Embedded Intel Solutions. Her technology experience includes embedded computers, consumer electronics, display technologies, software, semiconductors, mil / aero systems, healthcare systems and services, telecommunications, and industrial applications.

Cheryl is skilled at interviewing engineers, executives, customers, and marketers to identify the most compelling aspects of a technical product, and she understands the needs of technical editors and consumers. Jason McDonald received his Ph.D. from the University of California Berkeley in 1992 and began working as a journalist in the technology industry. He went on in 1994 to found eg3.com, a leading portal for embedded systems.

That endeavor led Jason McDonald to become an expert in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) long before SEO, Google, Alta Vista and the like became household names. Flash forward to 2009, when Jason began teaching SEO, AdWords, and Social Media Marketing both in San Francisco and online.

Today, he consults with businesses big and small in terms of helping them get to the top of Google and create efficient social media marketing strategies.

Joshua Touster, a freelance photographer living in the Boston, Massachusetts area, concentrates on both commercial and personal work. After receiving his BA from the Evergreen State College in 1976, he attended the Rhode Island School of Design and received his Masters of Fine Arts in Photography in 1980. His commercial photography includes clients such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Wentworth Institute of Technology, MIT, Harvard Law School, Buckingham, Brown, and Nichols, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, IBM, Tufts Health Care, The Winsor School. Touster has exhibited and published his work extensively both in the United States and abroad, and in 2011 received an artist-residency at Yaddo in Saratoga Springs.

Touster’s recent personal photographic projects include: "Occupy," a series of photographs documenting the recent Occupy Wall Street movement; “Phishing Trip,” an on-the-road photo series of the band Phish from 2009-2011; “Racing Life,” a five-year essay of Boston’s Suffolk Downs racetrack; “A Season On The Rox,” a year spent with the minor league baseball team the Brockton Rox; “Massachusetts General Hospital,” an indepth photo essay documenting the inner workings of a major hospital; and “Friends and Family,” an ongoing document of the people closest to him.
