TASKING offered software development tools for a broad range of applications such as automotive, embedded communications and consumer electronics. Altium purchased TASKING in March 2000 to provide hardware through software application design tools.


Hughes Activities:
To establish a North American presence and boost the company’s profile, HCI created an aggressive press release campaign complemented by article placement and conference representation. In the first year, HCI tripled TASKING’s press hits. This increased exposure was instrumental in securing a buyer for the company. To ease the transition, HCI continued with TASKING’s buyer for the next year and a half, boosting their exposure 900% from the year before.
