LDRA and Visure Solutions are partnering to create the first end-to-end ALM solution targeting the embedded, critical space. With software complexity and volume doubling annually, certified software projects are overrunning budgets and schedules by a factor of two and delivering only 60% of the expected functionality. To enable companies to better integrate systems, LDRA and Visure aim to deliver a solution that manages the micro detail of embedded (hardware, development tools, OS) and certifications (DO-178B, MISRA, CERT-C and CWE) alongside the typical challenges of project management, requirements management, architecture, coding, software configuration management testing and documentation.

LDRA’s tool suite was selected by Lockheed Martin for software verification and automated testing on the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle program. Orion will transfer astronauts to and from the International Space Station, the moon, Mars and other destinations and is scheduled to replace the space shuttle in 2010.
