Content & Communications Strategist
When editing, Sue elevates the text without losing her client’s voice, playing with words to tighten and brighten them. She enjoys brainstorming and is a passionate advocate, driving others to become all they can be. The author of two published teen novels and a picture book, Sue has produced everything from ad copy, articles, blogs, editorial, newsletters, and biographies with a personal touch to grants, scientific standards, and technical training manuals. She’s worked in industries as varied as computer leasing, book publishing, chemical manufacturing, produce marketing, lottery, and para mutual wagering. That background coupled with a degree in Psychology and an MFA in writing, as well as forays in teaching, advertising, and research has helped her develop a keen ear, intuiting her clients’ needs and goals.
A gypsy at heart, Sue is also a Merchant Marine Captain, lives aboard a 55′ trawler, and cruises eastern North America and the islands.
Writing is like sculpting: I draft ideas on a page, and carve out the excess to reveal voice, brand and persona.
